ABOUT OUR SCHOOL

Kiddie Kollege was started by Edith Ritter in 1960. It was the first preschool in Palm Springs and has taught 4 generations of families in our community. As a single mother, Edith started the school out of necessity.

The building was designed in the Midcentury Modern style by architect, Per Toft with assistance from Edith's son, architect George Ritter. Both of whom worked for the desert modernist architect, William F. Cody.

Today the school is run by Edith's two daughters, Kathy and Sandy. They have run the school together since 1978 and dedicated themselves to continuing excellence in early childhood education. They've built the success of their school through the success of every Kiddie Kollege Graduate.
